I've been using Linux since 1998 or 1999 when I installed my first Mandrake (which has since morphed into Mandriva), I then moved to SuSe and then openSuSe when that came out. I used Ubuntu when it first came out, then moved to Linux Mint and have now been using Linux Mint Debian Edition (which is Debian testing but more green) for the last few years. I've also spent a lot of time working on first RedHat and then Fedora systems because that's what was available in the lab I worked in.

My Linux expertise, if I can grace it with such a lofty title, is mostly on manipulating text and regular expressions since that represents a large chunk of my daily work.
